Easy & Quick Low Calorie Desserts

Everyone craves those sweet treats but unfortunately they can destroy your diet. With my mom being a nutritionist and all I know a lot of quick fixes and alternatives that won't ruin your diet. All these options are pretty low calorie and healthy.

1. Fruit Sherbet

Sherbet is so yummy and it's only 107 calories for a cup and it's low in fat.

2. Italian Ice

Italian Ice is similar to sherbet but it's less creamy and a little less sugary. 1/2 a cup is 104 calories with 1g of fat and 22 grams of sugar.

3. Sugar Free Pudding or Jello

This is one of my favorite low calorie desserts! It is one of the healthiest too! There are only 60 calories in a serving!

4. Angel Food Cake

Of course cake is never really going to be a low cal dessert but if your a cake lover like me angel food cake is one of the healthiest kinds of cake to eat. 72 calories in a small slice, hey that's not too bad! maybe I should eat more cake haha!

5. Fruit Parfait

This one is higher in calories but its a healthy snack to eat with 5 grams of protein and 300 calories. This could be more of a meal.

6. Sugar Free Hot Chocolate

Sugar free hot chocolate is only 60 calories and is a great drink for the winter. You could make a cold hot chocolate drink for the summer too!

7. Twizzlers/Sweddish Fish/100 Grand Bar

Both of these candies will be higher in calories but the are the lowest in fat so if you are really craving candy go for 1 of these 3. By the way I absolutely love sweddish fish like I think I could live off of sweddish fish but I would be morbidly obese so darn...

8. Sugar Free Fudgesicles & Popsicles

Sugar free fudgesicles are only 40 calories and they taste great. I also love popsicles because they are like 10-15 cals a pop so you can eat more than 1 a day!

9. Skinny Cow Products

all the skinny cow product are lower in calories but I usually stay away because they are so pricey!

Hope you enjoyed this post!! comment below what you think and/or you have any requests!!

The Hair Brush Guide

There are so many different kinds of brushes out there. You may be damaging your hair because you are using the wrong type of hair brush. I'll explain the uses of all the many brushes out there and which brush is best for your hair type. Before I start I'll give you Bre's 3 hair brush tips for beautiful hair. First, don't get brushes with little plastic balls on the bristle's because those are terrible for your hair. Second, Always splurge on brushes because cheap brushes are more damage which is more hair cuts and bad hair days. Last but not least, clean your brushes often because brushes absorb dirt and hair product and can make your hair oily and gross. If you have and questions feel free to comment below!

All in One Brush

This brush is a mixture of natural boar bristle and nylon. This brush gently detangles all hair types and also adds shine.

Paddle Brushes

The paddle brush is best for smoothing long straight hair. This brush is not ideal for layered hair because the brush will eliminate volume and just make your hair shiny and straight.
Paddle brushes are best for fine and thin hair but they can be used on all types.

Round Brushes

Round brushes are solely meant for styling. This brush is great for people with long layers and any hair type. The thermal round brushes have the metal barrel that help curl and add volume when blow-drying hair.

Flat Brushes

The flat brush is very similar to the paddle brush except the metal base will heat up when you blow dry and will ensure a precise straight hairstyle. This brush is best for straight hair to straight-wavy. This brush should NOT be used daily because this brush stresses and damages your hair because the heat retention of the brush.

Boar Bristle Brushes

Boar bristle brushes are natural and gentle on hair. They distribute hair oil evenly so hair will be balanced and soft to the touch. This brush is best for thick hair.

Teasing Comb

Teasing comb are pretty self explanatory. You can create volume with these combs by back brushing you hair. They damage and break your hair so use this brush in moderation!

Massage Brush

This brush is best to use after you have detangled your hair because the chucky bristles don't glide through tangles very well. These brushes stimulate the scalp and increase hair growth. They are often used to when shampooing and/ or distributing hair products.

Vented Brushes

These brushes speed up the blow drying processes and add texture and volume. These brushes are good for all hair types just remember not to use the brush with the plastic ball bristles.

Hope this helped clear up some confusion about all the brushes! Comment below what you think!! XOXO

Summer Makeup Bag Essentials

OMG it's already spring and before you know it summer will be here!! It's getting warmer so that means you need to switch out your creams and thick make up for something a bit lighter. Here are some of my favorite daily summer make up essentials.

Daily Moisturizer:
It's always best to moisturize your face just don't over due it. Stick with a light daily moisturizer with some SPF and you should be fine! I suggest Laura Mercier Oil-free Day Lotion $98  or for a cheaper alternative CeraVe Am Facial Moisturizer $14. If you have very oily skin then I suggest you don't wear lotion and foundation just use a oil absorbent primer.

Foundation:
Personally I usually don't even wear foundation during the summer because I usually just sweat it off by midday. If you don't wear foundation I would just swipe a little bronzer and conceal any blemishes. If you are going to wear foundation then I suggest a light bb cream, mineral powder or tinted moisturizer. Make sure your foundation has some SPF for extra protection. I suggest Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer $43 for a light tinted moisturizer. Clinique BB Cream $37s is a great bb cream for the summer I love it! For a natural light complexion I suggest Aveda Inner Light Mineral Tinted Moisturizer $28.

Concealer:
Again stick to the lighter formula and don't apply as much. Concealer is definitely a must have in the beauty bag because it is quick and easy. Sometimes when I'm running late or lazy I just dab a bit of conceal on blemishes and around the eyes and add a swipe of bronzer and then I'm out the door. I use Smash Box High Definition Concealer $22.

Mascara:
stick to a light formula preferable waterproof. In my personal opinion I like to have a really good water proof mascara for when I swim or go to the beach and I keep a mascara that is waterproof just enough to not run from sweat. I use Lancome Definicils Waterproof High Definition $27 and during the summer I get the brown shade to make my lashes look more natural.

Bronzer/Illuminator
This is basically your preference I usually like to use an illuminator instead of a bronzer to get a dewy glow look. I would stick to the light and translucent formulas. I would use the Tom Ford Skin Illuminator $65 or for a cheaper dupe buy the Benefit High Beam Complexion Enhancer $26. For a bronzer I would buy a Nars or Mac pigment bronzer.

Lip Products
For summer I also like to wear the light pink and pink toned nude colors. They make your tan pop and add to a dewy look. Some of my favorites are Benefit Lollitint Lip and Cheek Tint $30, NYX Matte Lipstick in Pale Pink $6 and Sara Happ The Lip Slip $24.

Eye Shadows
This is really a personal preference but during the summer shimmery pale colors are usually very trendy.

Hope you liked this post!! comment below what your favorite summer makeup product is!!

10 Makeup Tips Every Girl Needs to Know

These are some handy make up tips that have made my make up look so much better! Hope you enjoy! :)

1. Emphasize Your Brows

Keep your brow clean and trimmed up at all times and always fill in your brows. Use a shade lighter than your natural hair color for the front part of your brows and go in with a darker shade to define your brow arch. Also, don't forget to conceal around your brows and your eye lids. Make sure to add a shimmer highlight on the brow bone too. All of these tips make a huge difference in your make up look trust me!

2. Blot Your Foundation

Allow your foundation to soak in for 2 to 3 minutes, then take a Kleenex and blot away the excess foundation. This ensures a more natural and less cake like makeup. Your make up will also last a lot longer.

3. Comb Your Lashes with an Eyebrow Comb

to avoid clumps use an eye lash comb to comb your lashes after you apply mascara.

4. Don't Use Bronzer if You're Pale

If you are pale bronzer will just make it worse. Go for an illuminator cream or light powder to get a nice glow.

5. Use An Eye Cream

using an eye cream primes your eyes and makes concealer go on smoother. Eye cream will also reduce redness and bags. If your concealer creases often try mixing eye cream and concealer before application.

6. Prepare Your Lips for Lipstick

This will make your lipstick last a lot longer. You need to exfoliate your lips and then follow up with a hydrating lip cream or gel.

7. Use a White Base for Eye Shadow

This will make your eye shadow pop and make your shadow longer lasting.

8. Wash & Save Old Mascara Brushes

use mascara brushes to brush your brows or comb out clumps in your mascara.

9. Don't Over Moisturize

Over Moisturizing with make your make up smear and not last as long. Too much moisturizer will make your face oily and acne prone.

10. If Taking Pictures Don't Use a Foundation w/ SPF

SPF will protect your skin but in pictures SPF will make you look like a pale ghost.
