How to Stay Organized for the School Year

I don't know about you but, at the beginning of the year, I have my pencils, pens, sharpeners, highlighters, erasers, folders, etc. and by the end of the year all I have is a pencil and a highlighter. So here are some tips on how to stay organized throughout the school year.

1. When you buy your binder, make sure you have dividers for each subject (math, english, etc.) It'll keep your papers organized.

2. Get a notebook for each subject. This way your notes will be organized.

3. Get a planner. This is where you can write down your homework, quizzes, tests, or anything that you need to remember, but might forget. Make sure to look at your planner before you go home so you know you have everything you need.

4. Organize your locker. Lockers can get messy really easily. So get a locker shelf to help you organize it. Put your books on one shelf and your extra papers and supplies on the other shelf. It'll keep your locker clean and organized.

5. Get rid of stuff you don't need. Soon your binder will get full so, every once in a while, get rid of the papers you don't need. I'd say empty it out after the semester just to be safe.

6. To keep you from losing pens, pencils, or highlighters, buy a pencil pouch. They keep all your writing utensils organized and in one place.

Stay committed to these steps ALL YEAR and you'll have a pretty easy school year.
